Maybe I am a weirdo, but one of my favorite things to do is subtly observe people in the body wash aisle at the drugstore. That’s because everyone is always standing there, sniffing bottle after bottle, busily trying to find the perfect body wash. But as amusing as watching people buy body wash is, I really dislike having to buy it myself. That’s because so many of them are filled with overpowering synthetic fragrances and plastic microbeads which are terrible for the environment. That’s why I would much rather make my own all-natural body wash at home. That way, I know exactly what is in it, and I can control the fragrance myself with the use of essential oils.
So I thought I would share 5 extraordinarily luxurious DIY body wash recipes. All of them will put any of the store-bought stuff to shame. But before we get to the list, here are some related posts that you might all enjoy:
And now, here are five unbelievable body washes that you need to try for yourself:
Chamomile Lavender Body Wash
Chamomile and lavender are both essential oils that encourage feelings of relaxation and sleep making this an awesome body wash to use after a long hard day. It is also crazy moisturizing courtesy of the coconut oil.
No Lye Soap Body Wash
If you try the above body wash, and it is not moisturizing enough, then you absolutely have to try this recipe because it doesn’t get more moisturizing that this! Cocoa butter, almond oil, shea butter, and coconut oil are all ingredients. Wow! And you can customize the scent however you wish.

Super Moisturizing Green Tea Body Wash
If you are craving a body wash that is both moisturizing and packed full of antioxidants, then you’ll love this body wash. Again, you can scent it however you want, but I always think that citrus fragrances like orange and lemon go well with green tea.

Homemade 4-Ingredient Body Wash
If the lengthy ingredient lists in some of these DIY body washes is too overwhelming for you, this recipe should make you happy! It only has four ingredients, yet is still moisturizing AND antimicrobial.

DIY Homemade Milk and Honey Body Wash
This recipe is extra moisturizing and luxurious because it uses full-fat canned coconut milk. However, it is so fresh that it needs to be used quickly or kept in the refrigerator. But don’t worry; you’ll love it so much, you won’t have a hard time using it up.

A Word About Curated Posts
The above is a curated post. Some people call them round-ups, but I like the phrase “curated post” a lot better because I have spent hours putting each of these lists together. I have been a Pinterest junkie for years, and I am always looking for the newest or best or most interesting DIY project out there. Finding these items, testing them, and then using them on a daily basis is so much fun AND, I have discovered, helps save me money.
